The Formula
Sunflower seed oil at thirty-two percent is the carrier — naturally rich in vitamin E, balanced in fatty acids, and gentle enough to use daily even on sensitive skin.
Jojoba at twenty-five percent is the backbone. Technically a liquid wax ester, structurally identical to the lipids in skin's own sebum. It absorbs cleanly, creates a breathable moisture barrier, and never feels heavy.
Together, fifty-seven percent of the formula. That ratio is what makes it Golden Veil and not something else.
The Glow
The signature glow is not shimmer. It's not mica. It's not glitter. It comes from rice bran oil at nineteen percent — a carrier rich in gamma-oryzanol and ferulic acid, both naturally occurring antioxidants that subtly even tone over time and catch light differently than untreated skin.
The result is a finish that looks like skin, not like product. The kind of glow people can't identify the source of.
The Vessel
Eight fluid ounces in frosted UV-blocking glass. The frosting protects the formula — Golden Veil's twenty-four-month shelf life depends on UV protection at the bottle level.
Brushed gold pump. Dispenses one consistent pump — about half a teaspoon. Three pumps is the recommended dose for full-body application.
The Full Formula
Anhydrous (water-free) formula. No preservatives required. Bacteria and mold require water to grow.
How to Use
Best applied to damp skin straight out of the shower. The water gives the oil somewhere to go.
Two to three pumps into your palms. Press your hands together for a beat — the heat activates the blend.
Long sweeping strokes from neck to ankle. Don't rub. Press the oil into the skin like you mean it.
Sixty to ninety seconds. No residue. Dress when you're ready.
Questions, Answered
It moisturizes the skin and gives it a subtle, natural radiance. The base of sunflower and jojoba delivers lightweight hydration that absorbs cleanly. The rice bran component carries the glow — gamma-oryzanol and ferulic acid are naturally occurring antioxidants that subtly even skin tone over time and catch light in a way that reads as healthy, not shiny.
No. Golden Veil contains no shimmer, mica, glitter, or pigment of any kind. The luminous finish comes entirely from the rice bran oil's natural compounds — specifically gamma-oryzanol and ferulic acid. The effect is a subtle radiance that looks like skin, not like product.
Sixty to ninety seconds on damp skin. The sunflower-jojoba base is calibrated for clean absorption — not a dry oil like Bare Ritual, but never greasy. You can dress within two minutes.
Generally yes, but Midnight Pour is the better fit for chronically dry or sensitive skin. Golden Veil is built for normal skin — neither oily nor dry. If you have sensitivities to fragrance, the unscented variant is available on request.
Warm and inviting. Amber and vanilla at the base, neroli for brightness, sandalwood for depth. Designed to read as gender-neutral. The fragrance is at three percent inclusion, IFRA Category 4 compliant for leave-on body products.
At three pumps per application, daily use, a single eight-ounce bottle lasts approximately three to four months. The four-ounce travel size lasts about six weeks. Unopened shelf life is twenty-four months; once opened, use within eighteen months.
Body acne usually responds better to Bare Ritual's higher linoleic acid content. Acne-prone skin tends to be deficient in linoleic acid, and grapeseed oil — Bare Ritual's primary ingredient at forty percent — is the highest-linoleic carrier oil available. Golden Veil's sunflower-jojoba base is fine for occasional breakouts but not optimized for them.

The richest oil in the collection — but never greasy. Jojoba and rice bran build a protective moisture barrier that lasts through the night.
