The Ritual
Three steps. One pause between you and everything else.
Step 01 · Warm
Press two to three pumps of body oil into your palms. The exact dose depends on the oil: two for Bare Ritual, three for Golden Veil, three to four drops from the dropper for Midnight Pour.
Press your hands together for a beat. The warmth of your skin does two things — it softens the carrier oils so they spread evenly, and it lifts the fragrance from the base notes into the heart.
Damp skin straight out of the shower is the optimal canvas. The water gives the oil somewhere to go.
Step 02 · Press
Long sweeping strokes from neck to ankle. Move slowly. Pay attention to the places that need it most — elbows, knees, the small of the back, the tops of feet, the backs of upper arms.
Rubbing creates friction without absorption. Pressing transfers the oil cleanly into the skin and gives you a moment to notice your own body. The pause is the point.
This is the step most people skip. It's also the step that makes the oil work.
Step 03 · Glow
Absorption time depends on the formula:
Bare Ritual — under 60 seconds. Dress immediately.
Golden Veil — about 90 seconds. Pause briefly before dressing.
Midnight Pour — 2 to 4 minutes. The richer formula needs the time.
No transfer to clothes. No residue on hands. Just skin that catches light differently than it did before.
The Practice
The ritual works because it asks for three minutes of your attention. Most people don't give that to anything anymore — not to their skin, not to their morning, not to themselves.
Three minutes is enough time to notice your shoulders are tight. Enough time to remember a body that's been carrying you. Enough time to do something that isn't productive but is real.
The pour is the practice. The glow is the side effect.
